Kadir Tung received his Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering: Biotechnology from the University of California, San Diego in 2009, and his Master’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of California San Diego as well in 2012. As an undergraduate, he has volunteered in a plant biology lab. As a graduate student, he worked in a bioinformatics lab and a cell biology lab, bridging dry lab and wet lab, and analyzing microarray data for gene and protein expression changes in cells subjected to different states of fluid flow. He worked for a year with Clinical Metabolomics as a lab technician with IT responsibilities, preparing samples for mass spectrometry. He is now starting his own company, Orchid BioConsulting LLC, as a bioengineering/bioinformatics consultant.
